The blanket is made of machine-hemmed cotton flannel fabric, with an 8.5 cm wide decorative border applied along its edges using the bobbin lace technique. It is adorned with trails and flower decorations, a common technique locally known as granariz and more widely recognized as Maltese lace. The lacework was specifically done for the blanket, evident from the parts at the corners. The blanket’s surface is embroidered with silk and cotton thread according to a pre-existing pattern. A floral motif is created using a loop stitch, depicting swirls and flowers. The decorative upper and lower parts are made with Pec stitch using pink silk, while the central portion is embroidered based on a drawing depicting one angel playing a harp, another angel standing next to a cradle, and a baby lying in the cradle with the inscription Ago. The depiction is completed with the text: Sleep sweetly all night long / an angel will come to watch over you.
